Taylor Hale | Episode 34: Built to Win

Mometu Season 1 Episode 34

Today’s episode is one I’ve been looking forward to — because my guest is the one and only Taylor Hale — reality TV royalty, Big Brother legend, and now a competitor on this season of The Amazing Race.

Taylor made history as the first Black female winner of Big Brother, and if that wasn’t enough, she also took home America’s Favorite Houseguest — becoming the first person ever to win both titles in a single season. Talk about a double crown moment.

In this episode, we trace Taylor’s incredible journey — from growing up just outside of Detroit, Michigan, to studying at George Washington University, to her rise in the pageant world, where she returned home to win Miss Michigan and go on to compete for Miss USA.

We dive into what it takes to stay composed under pressure, how she found her voice through competition, and the mindset that’s carried her from pageants to prime-time television.

But don’t worry — it’s not all deep talk. We had some serious fun too. Taylor creates her very own Zings, Zingbot-style, for five random people from her Big Brother past and current Amazing Race season… and let’s just say, her delivery is savage in the best way.

Then to close things out, we take a cinematic detour with a review of a horror classic — Night of the Living Dead. Believe it or not, Taylor had never seen it before, and hearing her fresh perspective was such a blast. By the end, I think we officially converted her into a classic horror fan.

So settle in — this one’s smart, funny, and full of surprises. Here’s my conversation with Taylor Hale.
